Staff Recruitment Procedures

Inter County’s policies on the employment of staff are practised rigorously, to recruit the best person for each vacancy, regardless of sex, race, religion, creed or disability. Our vetting procedures are to ensure we recruit the best person in order for us to provide a high level of service.

All prospective staff must provide:

  • Bank or Building Society details
  • National Insurance Number
  • Proof of Identity
  • Work Permits (if applicable)
  • A current passport size photo to be retained on their personnel record

To ensure we have chosen the best person we carry out three different checks

  • DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service)
  • DS (Criminal Record Basic Disclosures through the Police National Computer)
  • ECS  Enquiry (Employer Checking Service) – Working alongside the UK Border Agency
